School: Merriwood Ranch

Merriwood Ranch is nestled approximately 30 acres in the heart of "Telecom Corridor" in a corner of Garland, Texas.
Merriwood Ranch was established by Marilou "Moey" Rutledge as a summer camp with 5 horses and 8 campers in the spring of 1956. Today, Merriwood has a full-time English hunter/jumper and equitation riding lesson program. There is also a summer daycamp program during June and July each year.
For students interested in competition, we host student schooling shows and attend recognized North Texas Hunter Jumper Club horseshows. With plenty of space for a long canter over our cross-country jumps, a lesson in one of our arenas, or a relaxing trail ride under shady pecan trees that keep you cool in the summer, you'll feel perfectly at home on a horse at Merriwood.
